Members of the NmTC Elders Advisory Council and Youth Council came together on Tla’amin territory for a Medicine Walk & Cultural Knowledge Gathering.
Elders offered their insights to help guide the development of our Cultural Training Program, while Youth joined Tla’amin knowledge sharer Sherry Bullock on a medicine walk to harvest devil’s club. Later in the day, both groups gathered to prepare the medicine, with each participant taking home a bundle of devil’s club and instructions for creating salves, tea, or bath soaks. This gathering reflects the strength of intergenerational knowledge-sharing and the importance of honouring culture together—in community, on the land.
